Hi! I’m Andy. I am a personal trainer and an adventurer.
As a dad of a toddler I understand the challenges of juggling a busy life while finding that little bit of time to keep fit but I want you to know it is possible!
Since I was a boy I have had a thirst for a challenge (I like to do a big adventure each year) and this has taken me far and wide, from a volcanic ultra-marathon in Nicaragua, Central America to scaling a snowy peak in Argentina. A few years ago, one of most memorable experiences was the Marathon Des Sables, a 150-mile footrace across the Sahara. During the build-up I was hit with low confidence and started worrying about whether I could do it but I stuck to a plan, wised up on nutrition and the event itself became one of the best experiences of my life.
Now I know that not everyone’s goal is to do an ultra but I want to help you believe that if there is something you think you can’t do, you probably can. I can help tailor a programme to fit into your busy lifestyle – they’ll of course be some effort involved but lots of fun too – and the rewards will be all worth it!
My aim is to inspire you to reach a goal, it may be shedding a few pounds, trying to overcome a niggling injury – or perhaps even training for your first ultra.
You may lack that little bit of confidence to speak to a personal trainer but with my friendly, approachable manner, my aim is to help you overcome these barriers!
I am not your stereotypical personal trainer, I used to be a journalist and travel writer but sport and fitness has always been my passion and I am really excited about helping people get the “fitness bug” which has brought me so much joy throughout my life. I love all sports but my passion is running – and climbing mountains.
